Someone who listens first, and explains everything.
Who I am, how I work, and who I am best placed to help.

I came to counselling after ten years working in healthcare, where I saw how rarely people are given time to say what is really going on.
I trained as a counsellor and later in psychotherapy, and I now see adults for anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship difficulties and big life changes.
My approach is warm and practical. I listen closely, I explain things in plain language, and I will not rush you. We set goals together and look at them regularly, so you can see for yourself whether therapy is helping.
I work with adults aged 18 and over. If you need urgent or specialist care, such as psychiatric support, I will help you find the right service.

You set the pace
You decide what we talk about and how fast we go. You can pause, change direction or stop at any time.
Plain language
No jargon. If I use a term, I will explain it, and you can always ask me why we are doing something.
A plan we revisit
We agree goals in the first session and look at them together every few sessions, so the work stays on track.
