You might be here because

You lie awake rehearsing tomorrow's conversations.

You are coping, but it costs a little more every week.

Something ended, and everyone expects you to be over it.

You and your partner keep having the same argument.

If any of these sound familiar, you are not being dramatic, and you do not need to wait until it gets worse.

How we begin

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Here is exactly what happens, so there are no surprises.

  1. 1

We have a free 15-minute chat

You tell me a little about why you are thinking of therapy. I explain how I work, and we both decide if it feels right.

  2. 2

We meet for a first session

We talk through what you want to change and what has helped before. Together we agree a plan, and you can change it at any time.

  3. 3

    We settle into a rhythm

The same time each week or fortnight, in a private space. We review how it is going every few sessions.

What your first session is like

Most people arrive nervous. That is normal, and you do not need to prepare anything.

We start by going over confidentiality and how we will work together.

You say as much or as little as you like. You never have to share more than you want to.

We talk about what you would like to be different.

You leave with a plan for the next few sessions, and time to ask me anything.

Short, plain-language articles on common worries. Not a substitute for therapy, but a place to start.
